  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2¼ cups plain flour
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ¾ cup full-fat milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 50 grams unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan and line it with baking paper.
  2. Combine chopped herbs, crushed garlic, olive oil, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda (or powder), and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, milk, eggs, melted butter, and garlic until smooth.
  5. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients; mix gently until just combined.
  6. Layer one-third of the batter in the loaf pan; add one-third of the herb mixture and cheese slices. Repeat twice more.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes; cover with foil and bake an additional 20 minutes until golden brown and a skewer comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
