Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken slices with a mix of spices (smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper).
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the seasoned chicken in olive oil until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Boil salted water in a pot; cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Toss the drained pasta in the sauce; add reserved pasta water as needed to adjust thickness. Return sliced chicken to the skillet and mix thoroughly.
