  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 44 Whoppers (for decoration)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • 1 small tube white cake decorating gel

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg, peanut butter, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough, roll into balls, and coat each ball in granulated sugar before placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 8 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden; let cool slightly on the sheet.
  8. Once cooled, place a Whopper on top of each cookie.
  9. Melt chocolate chips and pipe legs extending from each Whopper using a piping bag or plastic bag with the corner snipped off. Finish by adding eyes using white cake decorating gel.
